Major Media Company is seeking a Technical PM with experience in the video entertainment industry – A MUST! Essential Functions: The organization provides a wide variety of solutions and capabilities in support of digital brands. Offers expertise in the areas of project management, user experience and design, technical development, implementation and operations to our business partners as they explore ways to establish and enhance their online presence. Seeking a capable IT Project Manager responsible for leading various strategic initiatives including the advancement of our online Video and Advertising Product.

The successful candidate will operate in a matrix environment, developing multi-talented, cross-functional teams and guide them through processes that most effectively deliver business solutions. They will be directly accountable for successful execution of projects in support of the overall goals of the Video Program. The IT Project Manager will play a critical role as an expert on our Video products, publishing tools and services. They will also understand how our Video tools and services interface and enhance broader publishing tool set used across our digital properties.

This role will be based in New York and will report to the Manager, Video Publishing Systems. Responsibilities include: Running complex projects. From design and development through production Utilizing the Agile iterative and incremental approach to software development to deliver value in a timely manner. .

Working with all the stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute the projects. Providing leadership in generating cross product and project task plans, resource planning, budgeting, identifying interdependencies and risk management plans Collaborating with Product Managers on release definition and scope. Facilitating and making trade off decisions between quality, costs, resources, scope and time. Overlooking the process aspects of individual projects and providing release oversight.

Managing all changes and issues with the stakeholders. Identifying and solving project issues effectively. Creating contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies. Ensuring the effective transition of work between the various teams and managing conflicts between the different groups Complying and enforcing standard company policies and procedures.

Maintaining project and technical documentation. Reviewing the status reports of team members across projects and addressing issues as appropriate. Lending expertise and support to the internal teams and task forces. When necessary, working off hours and weekends to support business needs.
