The University at Albany Department of East Asian Studies invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese Studies for the 2013-2014 academic year. The teaching load will be three courses per semester consisting of introductory courses on East Asian culture and undergraduate courses in the VAP’s academic field. The area of expertise is open.
Minimum Qualifications :
- ABD or PhD in Japanese Studies from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
- Additionally applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
Professional Rank and Salary Range: $40,000

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, mandates that all Title IV institutions, without exception, prepare, publish and distribute an Annual Security Report. This report consists of two basic parts: disclosure of the University's crime statistics for the past three years; and disclosures regarding the University's current campus security policies.
