Wilkes University invites applicants for a nine month appointment as a Visiting Instructor in the School of Education. This is a non-tenure track position assigned to provide academic leadership for the master's degree programs. The School of Education delivers degree programming at the undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. The master's and doctoral degree programs rely heavily on online on hybrid learning strategies.
Master's programs are delivered virtually and face-to-face from the main campus and offsite venues.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing curricular oversight and curriculum and instruction coordination with program coordinators and the departmental and university curricular committees. A doctorate in education or related field is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with K-12 teacher education, higher education curricular development including online course development and teaching, demonstrated leadership skills, and a strong interest in alternative learning strategies. Experience with adult learners is a plus.
