The Nutritionist conducts nutritional assessments of the
WIC participant, identifies their nutritional needs and
provides participant centered education. The
Nutritionist also plans, develops, evaluates, and
provides nutritional educational materials, activities,
and sessions to clients, their families, and staff. This
role provides supervision and works with Nutrition Aides
and WIC clerk to achieve program goals and daily

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Food and
Nutrition, Food Service Management or related fields.
Valid verification statement by the Commission on
Dietetic Registration indicating successful completion
of academic or supervised practice requirements for
eligibility to write the registration examination. Must
obtain RD certification within six (6) months of hire.
One and half years experience in public health or
clinical nutrition in hospital or outpatient clinic.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Dietitian. Current
ADA membership. Master's Degree in Dietetic, Nutrition,
or Public Health Nutrition.
