SUMMARY OF POSITION ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES : This position is located in the Department of Environmental and Global Health in the College of Public Health and Health Professions ( PHHP ) and will serve as the Student Program Assistant. The incumbent in this position performs a broad range of administrative duties in support of the department, students, and faculty, and as such, must present a professional demeanor and attitude, maintain a high level of confidentiality related to sensitive issues, initiate problem-solving techniques, provide excellent and helpful customer service, and exercise independent and prudent judgment when completing the tasks and responsibilities associated with his/her duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Assist staff with all aspects of coordinating the student programs. The primary role of this position is to assist with managing the online application process and the management of all student files for EGH academic programs. This includes preparing applicant files for review by the Department Admissions Committee and maintaining up-to-date and accurate student records. Other duties include assisting students with questions, forms, registration, etc. Greet, assist or refer visitors and students, as appropriate. Route calls, take messages, triage routine requests, make appointments as needed, etc. Provide a friendly, approachable atmosphere to incoming students, faculty, staff, visitors, and community members. Other duties as needed.
