We are searching for a Warehouse Assistant to join the Capital Improvements Team based in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. This position will be responsible for receiving, unloading, maintaining, and organizing parts and supplies. Inventory and material usage will be tracked and controlled using Excel, so proficiency with this platform is required. The Warehouse Assistant will also deliver parts to the team as needed throughout the property (and sometimes to other properties in the region), maintain vehicles, and will occasionally need to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Light administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and email are included in this role. Basic home maintenance and construction skills are a plus. Additionally, successful candidates will have strong numeric, communication, organizational skills and must be self‐motivated with a strong work ethic.

  • Assists in ordering parts and supplies for the property
  • Maintaining adequate stock of supplies in order to complete daily requests
  • Schedules deliveries and receives orders
  • Working to ensure the warehouse area is a clean, safe, organized work area
  • Maintains professional and sound vendor relations
  • Organizes vehicle maintenance schedule

Candidates for this Position should hold the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following abilities to be considered as a suitable applicant. Please note that except where specified as “preferred,” all points listed below are considered minimum requirements.

Qualifications (Skills – technical and non-technical):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1+ year in inventory control, warehouse, purchasing, or distribution experience
  • Experience in residential community maintenance or related are preferred
  • Valid driver’s license for state in which the property is located
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel, Internet, e-mail and other relevant applications
  • Forklift operator license is preferred
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematic skills
  • Ability to learn and comply with all safety rules
WORKING CONDITIONS (physical, vision, hearing, speaking, mental, driving requirements / work environment)
  • Frequently exposed to high temperatures and humidity
  • Frequent bending at the neck/waist, kneeling and climbing
  • Constant communication with co-workers and vendors
  • Alternates frequently between walking, standing and sitting
  • Occasionally drives to pick up parts
  • Occasionally carries/lifts loads of 50+ lbs
  • Occasional exposure to loud noises
  • Occasional exposure to chemical and gas fumes
