The purpose of this position is to assist customers who are picking up their product from an off site warehouse and to maintain showroom appearance by performing the following duties. The primary duties include loading product into customer's vehicles and interacting with the customers in a courteous and professional manner. Assist in floor moves and general maintenance of the showroom. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within establishments. Responsible for the repair of damaged goods, within associate's skill ability. Performing daily audits of warehouse locations and maintaining accurate inventory scans within the warehouse, with the goal being to achieve and maintain inventory accuracy which matches our customer's expectations. Record and process product and all information pertaining to merchandise to be returned from customers.

Basic knowledge of a computer is necessary in order to punch in and out, check company email, and look up basic inventory information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Customer contact - ability to express yourself in front of customers in a professional manner.

Paperwork - process invoices, ship product in computer with speed and accuracy.

Prepare product for transport in customer's vehicle by properly tying down, applying wrap and protective materials to product.

Responsible for the accurate recording into the system of all products shipped out of the Off Site Warehouse.

This individual reports directly to the Warehouse Associate Lead or Supervisor.

Ensure that outbound transfers are pulled accurately and loaded in a safe and secure manner, attaching ct tags, disposition forms, and any other appropriate paperwork to product.

Ensures the distribution center gets proper transfer paperwork and records this transfer information into the system.

Pull and load product accurately from pick sheets.

Help respond to phone calls and requests from showrooms.

Maintain a safe and clean warehouse. Keep the department clean and organized.

Change light bulbs (ceiling) daily & adjust to highlight furniture.

Maintain showroom appearance through light cleaning, vacuuming, and tidying up daily.

Inventory responsibilities: zone placement accuracy, cycle scans, year end inventory or any full showroom inventory.

Disassemble & prep product for pick-up, transfers and floor model displays.

Receive transfers, which include scanning and tagging direct shipments from manufactures.

Unpacking merchandise, assembling, and resetting floor models and ensure they are showroom ready .

Helping with floor arrangement.

Hang rugs.

Monitoring the cookie shop for cleanliness.

Maintain entrance to showroom daily, which includes snow removal or sweeping.

Clear snow from sidewalks for all fire exits.

Parking lot cleaned on a daily basis.

Assistance to the Operations Manager/Showroom management team/Visuals.

Print & place price cards/ct s.

Maintain stock levels of "take with" items.

Maintain tools, carts, strollers, and supplies as assigned. Strollers are cleaned weekly.

Maintain quality of furniture, which includes ordering replacement merchandise or arranging for repair of damaged goods.

Ladders may be used in some types of tasks that are assigned.

Trash compactors (must be 18 yrs to use).

Work outside loading, shoveling, sweeping, etc. Operate mechanical equipment inside such as air compressor, lifts (on occasion).

Lift Operation.

Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment.

Language Skills

Require skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Possess skills to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Education and/or Experience

Must have or be currently working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to three months related experience and or training.

Mathematical Skills

Able to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Mathematical aptitude to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance where applicable.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Warehouse associates will be lifting and loading objects into customer vehicles.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemical sprayer to apply lacquer or fabric protection to product. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
