Receiving Storeroom Lead - DEN

Denver, CO

Salary: $10.78 hr

Please note that this position will be hired under the subsidiary Continental Airlines collective bargaining agreement or divisional work rules until a joint agreement or combined divisional work rules are obtained.


Leads daily shift activities

Inventories and orders products from produce, baked goods, dairy products, liquor dry goods, frozen products and equipment, etc

Participates in month end inventory

Receives and checks quality of food products, materials and equipment

Matches purchase orders with invoices for reconciliation with accounts payable

Receives requisitions, completes and delivers product to requisitioning department

Completes requisitions for equipment

Delivers equipment shipment to cargo or from vendors/customers

Audits the kitchen for excess equipment

Generates purchase order from the computer (Inventory Control System, ICS)

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storeroom

Maintains equipment in proper working order

Conducts physical inventory

Conducts weekly inspection of the storeroom to ensure daily activities are completed

Drives company vehicle and forklift

Operates forklift, baler, hand truck and pallet jack

Receives and stores commercial chemicals

Performs other duties as assigned


High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent preferred

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be willing to work any shift in a 24/7 week, including weekends, nights and holidays

One-year experience in warehouse/storeroom operation or related field

Minimum of one-year experience in a leadership role

Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid)

Able to obtain 10-year FAA security access background clearance

Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, division and percentages

Working knowledge and/or experience in Windows, Microsoft Office software programs and ability to navigate the internet(i.e.; Internet Explorer, etc)

Ability to learn the company inventory system

Ability to read, speak and write English

Lifting and carrying storeroom products

Receive, store, and deliver product

Pushing and pulling soda/liquor pallets with pallet jack

Able to hear paging system to respond to product requisitions and delivery of merchandise

Ability to see to operate storeroom equipment from forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, etc

Mathematical ability to take inventories, place orders and complete requisitions

Attention to detail while conducting physical inventories and operating forklift

Indoor under regular manufacturing environment conditions

Works in high bay freezer at 0 degrees F for a minimum of 45 minute intervals

Works with chemicals as covered by Material Safety Data Sheets

Explain past work experience with airline equipment and explain your goals for the Warehouse as the Lead

Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
