Primary Role :
The Warehouse Operator will maintain the warehouse by receiving components and supplies, issuing and returning components, shipping product, assisting with inventory control and deliminating waste.
Receive all components and supplies used in the plant.
Issue components to manufacturing and packaging.
Track, document and process returns from manufacturing and packaging.
Ship product as required.
Assist in inventory control of warehouse.
Remove trash and refuse from plant per procedure.
Recognition and performance of necessary security and strict documentation of control substances.
Proper interaction with associated departments to facilitate an accurate and timely performance of required tasks.
Properly and safely,operate a forklift.
Accurately record appropriate transactions and maintain inventory cards.
Entry into MAPICS System.
Other jobs as assigned by management.
Must have a valid driver's license.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 1 year of related work experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
Strong math, reading and writing skills required.
Prior experience with inventory control in an warehouse environment preferred.
Experience in a regulatory environment is preferred.
Experience using basic workshop tools is required.
Previous computer experience is desired.
This candidate must be able to view objects closely and use a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.
This candidate will able to contribute to a productive and cooperative atmosphere, show commitment to team objectives, handle day-to-day work challenges and manage multiple tasks and competing demands.
This candidate will be able to create documents that are complete and accurate and serve as an expert on job and procedures.
This candidate will work in an environment where the noise level is usually loud.
This candidate will perform repetitive and non-repetitive work.
While performing the duties of this job, this candidate will be required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, use hands and fingers, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear.
The candidate will occasionally be required to crouch or crawl and must frequently be able to pool, move and/or allocate materials up to 30 kilograms.
This position may require working 1st or 2nd shift with potential over-time and weekend shifts.
