Responsible for supervising the hourly workforce on 2nd Shift and insuring all orders are shipped on time and with perfect quality. Responsible for improveing warehouse controls and managing overtime (cost controls). Rreposnsibilities include working with both the Aftermarket Sales & Marketing Teams and the Aftermarket Operations & Customer Service Teams to improve customer satisfaction. Responsible for working closely with our Retail Optimization Business (LEDs & Doors) to grow it into a $100m business. Work with Warehouse Manager to manage our $3m dollar budget.
This position has full responsibility and accountability supervising and providing direction to the aftermarket parts warehouse hourly and 2 salary clerical employees. The responsibilities include: full responsibility for the shift operations; budget controls, inventory control, cycle counting and supervising of shift hourly employees (receiving, staging, storing, picking, packing, and shipping). Process control and management, process improvement, establish positive labor relations with both the Union Leadership and the Hourly team. Also , responsible for productivity improvements.
Develop clear goals and objectives for area of responsibility. Develop, gain approval, and implement shop floor practices, procedures and warehouse improvements required to meet the goals of the overall business. Ensure metrics are in place and measured daily to ensure progress toward goals and objectives.
Implement and manage the processes, systems, and structure the ensures manufacturing/ warehouse, safety and overtime, budgetary and delivery commitments are met.
Track, and supervise methods/metrics that provide accurate and timely data and information in support of internal and external customers.
Supervise hourly employee performance. This process includes alignment of employee goals, objectives, and competencies to support Hussmann business strategies.
Provide conflict resolution/ labor relations leadership to maintain harmonious relations and fair administration of the collective bargaining agreement (including required overtime, vacation, and safety documentation tracking) on the shop floor.
Insure that all orders placed are shipped correctly and on time.
Work closely with Aftermarket Customer Service Team to insure all orders are accurate and meet customer expectations.
Computer skills and critical thinking skills are a must.
Minimum of 1- 5 years experience in supervising hourly employee’s.
Excellent communication and organization skills required.
Six Sigma and/or Lean training a plus.
Applicant must have a strong understanding of warehousing and distribution. This position is responsible for supplying/shipping all customer orders.
Oracle/TK Copics & Access experience a major plus.
Must be able to work 2nd Shift
