Southern Nuclear, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, operates Southern Company's six nuclear reactors at three locations in Georgia and Alabama: two reactors at Plant Vogtle, near Waynesboro, GA; two reactors at Plant Hatch, near Baxley, GA; and two reactors at Plant Farley, near Dothan, AL. In addition, planning and excavation activities are currently underway for the future construction of two new reactors at our Plant Vogtle location. We currently have an opportunity located at our office in Memphis, TN for a Warehousing Supervisor. This position will support our Pooled Inventory Management program.

WAREHOUSING SUPERVISOR - NUCLEAR (Memphis, TN)

JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides direction, management, supervision, and coordination of all warehouse facility activities for the Pooled Inventory Management (PIM) program. This includes the planning, organizing, and controlling of all activities and operations associated with the acceptance, storage, maintenance, testing, and withdrawals of equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED ASSETS:
A Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
A minimum of 7 years nuclear power plant experience (Navy or commercial nuclear power) is required.
Certification as a Level II inspector in accordance with ANSI N.45.2.6 or equivalent experience/capabilities to support future certification as defined in ANSI N.45.2.6, Section 3 is required.
Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, or project management experience, minimum of 2 years required.
Working knowledge of Material Management, Inventory Control, Warehousing fundamentals and heavy lifting and rigging practices.
Interpersonal and customer satisfaction skills necessary to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, service providers, and warehouse personnel.
Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, power plant nuclear systems and the basic engineering functions of individual equipment items.
Comprehensive knowledge of a wide variety of technical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements related to the QA requirements, engineering, manufacture, testing, qualification, and documentation of nuclear safety-related equipment and EPRI material shelf life requirements.
Previous experience in design, construction, plant maintenance, or quality assurance preferred.
Effective communicator, with the ability to coordinate the activities at a remote office location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Plan, organize, manage, and supervise all activities required to administer and operate the PIM warehouse facilities.
Provide on call coverage for emergency withdrawal of equipment.
Direct the implementation of Quality Assurance requirements, and provide control of documentation and proprietary information.
Provide storage interface with utility personnel from over 100 nuclear power plants, three NSSS vendors, and other engineering personnel for equipment in storage and equipment scheduled for delivery.
Administer and control all activities associated with the receipt, inspection and acceptance of equipment including documentation, maintenance, inventory control, parts replacement, site vendor functions, and contract personnel functions.
Develop, initiate, and implement all storage and maintenance requirements, procedures, and specifications.
Administer the facility contracts requirements on behalf of Pooled Equipment Inventory Company and Southern Nuclear Services, LLC including compliance by vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
Assist in contract negotiations.
Develop, control, and track the annual facilities budget.
Approve all contractor and vendor invoices.
Authorize contractor expenditures for facility and equipment maintenance.
Provide vendor surveillance at factory or warehouse.
