We are a large student townhome subdivision that is growing rapidly and that will continue to grow over the next few years. For this position, we are seeking a handyman that can go above and beyond being just a maintenance technician and can act as the conduit through which all of our work orders and maintenance issues flow. We need someone that is personable and professional in both attitude and appearance as they will be dealing directly with homeowners and tenants. This person will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues, and it is this person's responsibility to ensure that all issues are addressed and repaired as quickly as possible. Additionally, they will be responsible for gathering information regarding the repair needed, scheduling the appropriate contractor, seeing that the job is done quickly and correctly, and then confirming with the resident that the repair is complete and satisfactory. It is more important that this person is able to handle difficult people and situations than it is that they have a plethora of maintenance skills. Some skills and experience are necessary as smaller repairs and projects may be completed by this person and not by the original contractor. Customer service experience is highly desired.
