Lead detailed phases of water supply systems modeling projects for major clients. Perform evaluations using decision support systems and regional planning models to investigate and recommend water supply alternatives for several major clients. Develop water resource models using Microsoft Excel software. Devise new approaches to problems encountered and coordinate technical aspects of projects involving water supply planning. Work on projects involving the long term water supply planning at regional and state levels, including developing demand estimates, presenting to stakeholder groups, and performing analysis of supply and demand management options to meet needs. Apply water and wastewater distribution models in support of water and wastewater supply and distribution system master planning studies using INFOWATER and INFOSWMM models. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, RiverWare, and SWMM for a wide range of urban and rural study area conditions to confirm existing system performance and define flood risk. Provide solutions by identifying facility needs and opportunities for improvements in system operation by using decision support system tools (STELLA, GoldSim, Solver, @Risk) in support of water resource planning studies. Apply GIS for data management and development in support of water supply, water distribution, storm water and wastewater analyses through the use of ESRI GIS software and collaboration with GIS analysts. Participate in Research and Development efforts, marketing efforts, proposal development, and new business initiatives. Participate in the proposal development, interview process, strategy sessions, and client presentations in an effort to win projects in the field of water resource planning. Prepare papers and present at conferences. Participate in technical review committees, and review teams for projects and proposals related to water resource planning. Responsible for Assist client service managers, project managers and marketing staff in identifying appropriate water resources opportunities and support new business activities such as preparing RFPs, client interviews and presentations. Involve in strategic approaches or strategy meetings to develop approaches for new business pursuits. Independently prepare, present, and submit technical reports, and memorandums, summarizing modeling and analysis approaches and results. Work as a project manager by leading small projects or Contribute engineering experience to the management of small projects and major tasks within larger projects according to FNI’s project management processes. Involved in various phases of project management such as proposal writing, scope development, budget and schedule determination, staff management, and task monitoring. Manage project teams comprised of engineers, CAD technicians and administrative personnel. Manage scope, schedule, and budget and lead hydraulic and hydrologic modeling teams. Provide technical oversight, coordinate and delegate work assignments and mentor junior staff. Participate with staff and clients on system models, present webinars, and participate in knowledge transfer efforts.

Requires a Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and four years experience in the job offered or four years related experience in water supply planning; developing water resource models using Microsoft Excel software; utilizing WRAP software; Texas water rights Water Availability Models (WAMs); STELLA; Riverware; ERSI GIS Software. Requires Texas Professional Engineering License.
