PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Web Content Specialist assists with implementing scheduled and ad hoc content enhancements, as well as creation and maintenance of outward-facing Retirement Plan Services(RPS) web sites and client-focused microsites using a web content management system. The Web Content Specialist is responsible for providing consultative and collaborative web editing services, content management, project leadership, system oversight and training for peers. This position works closely with our Communication Consultants, Relationship Managers, Legal and Proofreading Departments to ensure that all materials posted on online are in compliance, meet regulatory standards, reflect T. Rowe Price (TRP)’s or external clients’ style and are quality checked before publishing live web content.
Manages and edits content for the Marketing, Intermediary Resource Center, Plan Sponsor Resource Center, and Participant websites. Negotiates schedule changes to accommodate client requests and/or production issues. Ensures all Web content requests align with brand and content format standards.
Collaborates within team to provide status updates and discuss issues. Works with business and support teams to prioritize work and find solutions to challenges in ever changing environment. Utilizes extensive network to solve problems efficiently while balancing the impact on the business.
Initiates and implements process enhancement initiatives through collaboration with business partners and support groups. Facilitates meetings concerning process initiatives and/or clients work. Leads cross-functional projects and provides system oversight. Serves as main point of contact during system upgrades.
Mentors and cross trains web services team members and back ups on latest enhancements, process changes or new work, enabling them to support daily ad hoc requests. Provides mentoring to less experienced associates outside of immediate team, including Business Analysts and Web Developers.
2 years experience with content management tools such as Vignette 7 or WEM 8
College degree in technology related field preferred
Some knowledge of the Java development language
Demonstrated experience in applying technical standards and change control policies and procedures
High school diploma/equivalent and 2 years related work experience, or
Associate degree and 1 year related work experience, or
Adaptable and able to learn quickly
Ability to translate functional business requirements into low to moderately complex technical solutions
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to effectively work with associates in the team, across other teams, and/or outside of the enterprise
