Provide web page design and development, systems analyst support, and LAMP administration expertise while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment. Must enjoy working in a team environment with frequent customer contact and have excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. Must have skills in solving problems and responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate for this position will be upgrading the web site from an older version of Joomla to the latest edition. This will involve handling the upgrade and any ancillary development needs around that initiative. Additionally the website will require web page redesign and deployment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Web Development

Design and develop web pages.

Administer and maintain LAMP architecture including monitoring, backup solutions, and performance analysis.

Configure LAMP user authentication to applications, and provide advanced support for site administrators including training and troubleshooting.

Perform quality assurance of website and other media with attention to detail.

Ensure proper functionality and usability/user-friendliness of website.

Assist with the planning and development of a new user interface along with improvements to existing applications.

Ensure a consistent user interface, site architecture, and high-quality overall user experience that is compliant to 508 standards.

Determine new web technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug-ins, based on the organization’s needs.

Design specific user interface features, site animation, and/or special effects.

Track and report website usage statistics.

Implement cross-browser/cross-platform user interface compatibility and troubleshoot other issues.

Troubleshoot issues with web server, database, security, network, and web technologies.

Set project timelines and milestones and ensure project completion according to deadlines.

Develop Six Sigma process improvements, root cause analysis and preventative action strategies.

Database Administrator

  • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
  • Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
  • Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet operational/mission needs.
Supervision

:

May provide specific task direction to staff but does not have formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ year’s web development experience.

DoD 8570 Level I required, Level II preferred

Working experience/knowledge to include Apache, IIS, HTML, CSS, DHTML, Javascript, XML, UNIX, Linux, PHP and Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Joomla, Dreamweaver and Web analytics.

Preferred experience to include Java, PERL and Adobe CS6 packages.

Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.

Previous experience in a contract setting or prior experience with HPCMPO is strongly preferred.
