Position Summary

The Website Designer / Developer at the Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the college's websites. Working in coordination with the Web Program Manager, the IT Director, college administration, faculty and staff, the incumbent will keep the website's content accurate and up to date and make design updates and content changes as needed. Using the Drupal content management system for website updates the incumbent will work proactively with members of the college to generate and edit the content. This position reports to the IT Director. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains website layout and design * Assesses usability and accessibility of web sites * Consults with content providers regarding graphics requirements, website development and/or design issues * Maintains and edits website content and graphic media such as photographs, video and other visual design elements * Performs web programming as needed * Participates as a team member in web design projects * Consults with content providers and Web Program Manager regarding website development assignments * Monitors website utilization as required * Participates as a team member in website development projects
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications

Three years of progressively responsible web site design and/or development experience; OR, an Associate's degree in a related field AND two years of web site design and/or development experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

Additional Minimum Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Internet/Web technologies (HTML, CSS, Photoshop, PHP, MySql, Drupal) * Experience working on Linux and Windows servers
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Drupal module and theme development * Experience creating compelling, dynamic and well-designed web sites * Experience in project management methods and tools
