AIM’s Provider Products Initiatives team is seeking knowledgeable Web Experience and Usability professionals to create optimal experiences for several applications and portals in our product suite.
The position works collaboratively with fellow members of the Product Usability and Design team to conceptualize, design, and prototype ideas while ensuring that the user experience designs meet overall business requirements along with applications aesthetic, functional, and workflow requirements. May also be responsible for conducting user experience research and usability tests to improve User interaction.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the end-to-end assessment and planning of overall web experience and tool interaction, usability and content organization, eliciting project requirements, and ensuring the site meets the needs of the user.
Focuses on visual design, prototype development, and adherence to corporate branding standards.
Ensures the new visual design system for all public and private assets under the WellPoint umbrella are consistent, useful, competitive, and innovative.
Works with internal customers to understand business goals and visually articulate business objectives through prototype and screen design.
Develop interaction flows, wire frames and schematic designs.
Provide strong quantitative analytical and wire-framing skills that will aid how key projects take shape.
Create site maps, schematics, process maps, feature lists, mockups, working prototypes and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience.
Produce and evaluate functional designs for very complex projects and to ensure user interface design requirements are captured.
Conduct user research and user-testing to ensure that UI designs meet user needs and/or solve current issues/challenges.
Define user-centered design processes and use of user interface design standards.
Maintain and share awareness of industry trends, best practices and new technologies and explore those that would benefit the organization.
Review, interpret and present web statistics and other research findings that help inform effective, desirable and intuitive user interfaces.
The successful Web Usability Analyst Candidate will have:
BA/BS in a related field
2-5 years of usability analysis, user interface design and prototyping,
Solid understanding of prototyping/mockup tools such as Axure,
or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience with live and remote user testing tools
Certification in usability analysis preferred
Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or closely related discipline is highly desirable.
Experience in insurance, enterprise level physician portals, and call-center applications are a plus.
Experience developing mobile applications is a plus
Familiarity with current usability research, theories and methodologies (especially user-centered design processes), as well as an intuitive feel for how human factors activities provide unique value and ROI throughout the product development lifecycle preferred.
