Our direct client in Northern NJ has a contract opportunity for a WebSphere/ITCAM Administrator.
The ideal candidate willl build, configure, deploy, support, troubleshoot, and maintain WebSphere and ITCAM environments.
Interface with database administrators, software development teams, network support personnel, vendors, etc, to analyze and resolve issues.
Automate a variety of WebSphere administrative tasks using Jacl or Jython. And maintain up to date knowledge of new software developments; evaluate alternative approaches and recommend new software or modifications to enhance operations and development activities.
Provide application support for both third party and internally developed code, in support of the client areas' business requirements, including disaster recovery.
Consult with IT staff and clients to determine the impact of new updates or changes to the Middleware products.
Provide on-call 24X7 support for Middleware products (via pagers)
Knowledge of ITCAM for Applications, WebSphere and other products such as SQL and Oracle client.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Jython, Jacl, IIS, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN.
Strong English communication skills; both written and oral Ability to handle small size projects with guidance of a senior team member.
Strong interpersonal skills to support a highly team work and customer service driven environment.
Ability to work under pressure in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
Experience with Jacl, Jython, and Microsoft Power Shell Experience installing, configuring, and supporting WebSphere, ITCAM Historical Reporting and Data Collection.
Experience using 3rd party monitoring tools for infrastructure support such as BMC PatrolM.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or related discipline
