This position will provide high quality cleaning services in buildings on campus during the overnight weekend shifts. This position will be on-call for the campus via a pager/phone and will respond to cleaning and other housekeeping related calls and requests as needed. Buildings will be primarily student dorms and apartments.
Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
1. High school graduation or G.E.D.
2. Ability to operate power cleaning equipment.
3. Ability to respond to emergency situations.
4. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work with exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
5. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment as necessary.
6. Ability to read English.
7. Ability to interact with varied client needs
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Prior cleaning experience is helpful.
Driving a University vehicle is required for this position, therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
Basic cleaning equipment, including mops, vacuums, various cleaning chemicals, other cleaning equipment may be used as needed.
Basic computer use for entering time cards onto work orders. Use of pager / cell phone for calls.
Training on handling bloodborne pathogens will be offered by department.
Additional Job Information:
This position is part time, the shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00pm - 4:30am during the academic school year (approximately 32 weeks). This position may not be scheduled on weekends during school closings, breaks, or holidays.

Perform tasks relating to providing a clean/healthy environment in resident hall bathrooms, public restrooms, including approved methods of handling/cleaning bloodborne pathogens and other bodily fluids in lavatories, shower stalls, bathtubs, toilets, and urinals.
Perform tasks relating to providing a clean/healthy environment in building public space, such as lobbies, common rooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and kitchens.
Respond to housekeeping calls and/or requests for service as needed.
Collect all waste material, sort recyclable materials, and remove to outdoor collection bins.
When needed, perform tasks relating to the maintenance of floors and other surfaces, including vacuuming , mopping, and washing.
When needed, report all items that need maintenance or repair.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
