The focus of this role is to perform welding fabrication duties in a manufacturing environment.
In addition, in this role you will:
Perform simple structural fabrication work, including: layout (leveling, measuring, squaring), position, arrange, fit and install materials and components (small skids, brackets and transitions)
Perform fabrication on sheet metal components – forming, supporting, stiffening, welding (door frames, roof panels, porch panels, etc.)
Able to perform wide variety of common fabrication tasks such as prep material, braze, solder, burn (manual torch, track torch, plasma torch), grind, sand, drill and bevel components
May be asked to perform basic assembly activities, including installation of mechanical, electrical, and piping components as necessary to meet delivery requirements
High School Diploma / GED
Ability to pass welding certification test in two required processes (GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SS FCAW, and / or SS GMAW)
Ability to read and communicate in the English language
Ability to lift 40 lbs
Ability to read and follow assembly and fabrication drawings
