Wireless Test Engineer
Job Description: A Product Test Engineer (PTE) in the Connectivity Engineering & Manufacturing Services (CEMS) System Test group who is responsible for:
-New Product Introduction (NPI) of Intel wireless technologies and products into the manufacturing process; work closely with Design, Validation, Quality and reliability teams; interface with the Product Development Team (PDT) in setting key milestones and schedules.
-Development, debug and release to production Functional Test plans ; maintain, update and optimize Intel Wireless Test Software (WTS)
-Enabling Outsource Design Manufacturing (ODMs') production test by working closely with cross-site engineering teams to ensure optimal new product API/test harness development and other test collaterals including documentation,
- Support product yield improvement and failure analysis
-Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
This job involves working with multiple external/internal design and manufacturing partners to launch the current generation of WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and other wireless products. Domestic and international travel is required (including but not limited to Taiwan, Malaysia, China, Brazil, and Israel) to work face to face with the various teams and support the factories. This position does require a flexible work scheduling to support multiple geographies and time zones.
Candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, or Software related. Bachelors + 5-6 years experience or Masters + 3-4 years experience.
-3-6 years experience of device test development including RF functionalities (802.11, 802.16, etc...), host interfaces (PCIE, USB, etc...) and associated operating systems (Windows, Linux)
-3-6 years experience in C, C++, C# and scripting languages.
