Alstom Grid is an industry leading manufacturer of high voltage circuit breakers with R&D, manufacturing and service facilities located in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. The Charleroi factory is the Alstom Grid Center of Excellence for research and development, testing and manufacturing of dead tank breakers for worldwide distribution.

ALSTOM Grid – the leader in providing software and services to the Electric Utility Industry has an opening for a Wiring Assembler in it's Charleroi, PA location.

As a Wiring Assembler you are responsible for installing electrical wiring and assembling components in control cabinets, electrical and industrial equipment and related industrial apparatus, according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.

This position is responsible for:
Laying out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.

Attaching breakers, switches, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and generator sets, meters, plugging devices and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws.

Engrave serial plates, CT plates, warning and caution tags and id tags.

Cuts, strips, bends and forms wire cable, conduit pipe and tubing used to connect circuits and sub-assemblies.

Shrink labels on all wires.

Connects color-coded wires, using mirrors in compact areas.

Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.

Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.

Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisor or engineers to clarify assembly problems.

Performs assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to ensure the output will meet WC and customer standards.


All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this

opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.

General Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED

1-3 years related experience and/or training in electrical assembly.
