The Perioperative Technician II functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide family-centered patient care across Women’s services units including labor and delivery, family birth centers, and newborn nurseries. The Periop Tech provides basic patient care and unit support under the direct supervision of an RN. This role performs a broad range of tasks essential to safe and efficient patient care, but not requiring RN level licensure or skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a formal scrub/surgical tech program or trained techs functioning in the role required.
Prefer Surg Tech license/registration in Oregon and required in Washington (RST and CN A or RNA).
1 year medical experience required. May consider those w/o one year of medical experience if they have completed the formal Surg Tech program
Must have strong desire to work in a team environment performing surgical procedures but also direct patient care to women and infants.
Minimum 1 year experience in a medical field required
Women’s or newborn care experience preferred.
