We have an opening for an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to work out of our Mechanicsburg, PA office to handle claims in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut , New Jersey & Virginia and other states as assigned. You will be a high level Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster who has experience with lost time, high risk, and catastrophic claims. You should have experience with litigation, claim settlement and claims resolution. In this position you will provide and ensure accurate and timely management, resolution and closure of all claims. The focus is to return injured workers to full duty work and to achieve claim closure on claims that have exceeded the expected duration or treatment profile. Accurate and timely management of workers compensation claims and superior service to the customer are essential in this role. You also will calculate workers compensation benefits, set appropriate reserves on claims within State Auto s guidelines; articulate the team vision, philosophy, effectively communicate and will coach and mentor team members.

Qualified applicants should possess a minimum six years workers compensation claims adjusting experience in a senior level role. A high school diploma is required; post secondary experience is highly preferred. To be a qualified candidate, you will have excellent computer, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organization skills. You will have or must obtain adjustor licensure, as required by jurisdiction. Multi-state adjusting experience is a plus. This position requires the knowledge of basic legal and medical terminology, workers compensation law and statutory requirements, state workers compensation forms, benefit payment procedures, claims investigation and liability determination.
