Write and edit technical documents in support of proposals, technical marketing efforts, white papers, sources sought, newsletters, and other materials. Working under the guidance of a proposal manager, the writer will elicit information from subject matter experts (SME) and put that information into usable text form and revise and shape text provided by SME or other contributors to be responsive to RFP requirements. As editor, the writer will ensure all text conforms for message and voice and is grammatically correct. He/she will verify final quality and consistency of the language, formats, and styles for text and graphics of proposal volumes and all collateral material. He/she may assist desktop publishers with final production.
B.S. degree in, English, journalism, or marketing communications or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience creating professional marketing materials, with strong technical writing and editing skills.
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet schedules.
Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work well in a team.
Good problem solving skills and detail oriented.
Willingness to be flexible to project needs; may be required to work evenings and weekends.
Experience producing proposal documents, white papers, market research documents, along with internal documents, such as training, reference, marketing materials, and a corporate newsletter is a plus.
