Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs various clerical and filing tasks, develops radiographs, performs receptionist duties and transports patients to and from the Radiology department. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required include: 1.Basic clerical skills such as answering phones, filing, faxing and copying at a level normally acquired through a minimum of 1-3 months previous related clerical experience in health care or 1-3 months on-the-job experience. 2.Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically paying close attention to detail. 3.Interpersonal skills to effectively work and interact with patients, physicians, co-workers, other Hospital department personnel and the public. 4.Ability to organize work and time to accommodate workload, meetings and/or emergencies. 5.Ability assist in providing care for patients in the following age groups: Infant - Birth to 1 year:; Child – 2 to 12 years; Adolescent – 13 to 18 years; Adult – 19 to 65 years; Geriatric – over 65 years. 6.Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and supplies; ability to position and transfer patients using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
