The program coordinator shall be responsible for all aspects of the Super Summer Enrichment Program for Talented and Gifted Students and the Youth Enrichment Academic Year Program, including pre-planning activities and hiring and supervision of all staff. In general, the program coordinator provides leadership for all aspects of the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of earned Bachelor’s Degree
Administrative skills and experience
Strong oral and written communications skills
Experience with elementary school-aged students
Computer skills required
Preferred Qualifications:

Teacher experience recommended
Leadership experience
Experience with the Super Summer Program
Familiarity with the University of Oregon
Experience in marketing preferred
Working knowledge of HTML and website management
Program Development and Personnel Management

--Design and develop fall, winter, and spring class offerings, summer camps and workshops, and special events
--Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise instructors, work-study students and volunteers. Manage staff database.
--Assist instructors with arts curriculum development and implementation
--Provide staff and program evaluation
--Serve as liaison between program participating families and UO related personnel, and effect all necessary arrangements with them
Program Marketing

--Coordinate marketing of program
--Produce marketing materials, including course listings, brochures, informational packets, press releases, and other materials for recruitment of students
--Document classes and events using still and video cameras
--Communicate program information to students, parents, staff, and the general public via email, fax, telephone, mail, and websites
Program Implementation

--Provide on-site supervision of classes and workshops
--Investigate customer complaints and recommend solutions
--Keep accurate records, time sheets, and attendance
--Provide for a program/class atmosphere that promotes and encourages inclusion of all participants
--Oversee program budget
--Oversee all purchasing and distribution of supplies and materials
--Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings of artist instructors and campus counselors before and during the program
--Provide information for overall program evaluations
Additional Responsibilities

--Attend orientation, trainings, and staff meetings as required
--Assist with coordination of special events as needed
--Maintain a safe workplace and handle and report accidents
--Assist with the financial tracking relating to all program activities
