The Youth Worker is responsible for the daily care of the residents at our facility. He or she provides a loving, warm, safe environment is a positive adult role model who can set limitations and give praise in a caring manner. Above all, the Youth Worker is the primary caretaker who develops meaningful and therapeutic relationships with the young people who live at the home. He or she must have a special understanding of the developmental and social needs of adolescents.

The ideal candidate for this position must be 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, can lift up to 50 pounds, and cannot appear on the child abuse registry or have a criminal record that reflects an offense against a child or vulnerable adult. A bachelor's degree in a related Human Service field, previous experience working with youth, and a driving record with no more than two moving violations in a three-year period and no DUI within the last five years are all highly preferred. In addition, he or she must be a mature, responsible adult role model and have a genuine interest in working with children. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
