Temporary, part-time, online teaching in the Organizational Leadership Program. May be asked to participate in designing and developing course(s) individually or as a member of a team. Course offerings are contingent upon sufficient enrollment.

Minimum requirement: A Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership or closely related area from a regionally accredited (or foreign equivalent) university, five or more years of professional experience relating to the course(s) applying to teach, learning facilitation experience, and completion of a successful interview that may include a demonstration of skills. Additional qualifications: Ability to adapt to changing technologies that support teaching and learning; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); ability to teach, evaluate and advise students; and demonstration, through past accomplishments and behaviors, of the ability to support Mansfield University’s principles and values of Character, Scholarship, Culture, Service (http://www1.mansfield.edu/mansfield-creed) and the University’s strong student-centered vision and mission. Preferred: Doctoral degree, graduate level classroom and online teaching experience using Blackboard, D2L, Angel, or similar platforms, and instructional design/ course authorship experience. Other conditions of employment are verification of all earned degrees through the receipt of original transcripts and an acceptable background check report.

Essential Functions:
Effective facilitation of the learning experience using online electronic teaching technologies. Ability to use software application programs such word processing, presentation software, and spreadsheets to deliver course content, evaluate student deliverables, and provide feedback and developmental guidance. Demonstrable ability to affectively use e-mail, phone, keyboard and other office equipment to communicate and coordinate Mansfield University and Organizational Leadership instructional efforts. Advise program director regarding program structure, course offerings, and or course content. Work cooperatively with staff, faculty and administration. May be required to lift, stand, walk, reach with arms, etc.

Job Status:

Temporary, part-time positions for Summer 2013, the 2013/14 Academic Year, and Summer 2014; Instructor rank. Salary is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
