BASIC SUMMARY: To lead the reporting efforts of the e-Commerce department as it relates to internet channel measurement tools and processes by managing the online digital tracking strategy/process, analyzing and understanding vital business unit metrics, and establishing appropriate reporting processes to ensure solid decision-making capabilities.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs detailed analysis on large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data in order to gain insight on overall site traffic and behavior, effectiveness of usability, product click-thru and conversion, promotional campaigns, email and other key channel marketing and operational metrics. Develops reporting strategy based on key performance drivers that addresses vital business intelligence needs; Proactively updates strategy as necessary. Assists in the development and documentation of an online analytics methodology; Partners with other departmental analyst to create cross functional analysis. Develops an internal system of data distribution that promotes better utilization of analytics in decision making. Creates and prepares ad hoc reports and trend analysis on site traffic that assists in the identification of irregularities or create opportunities for improved sales; Continually indentifies ways to improve and enhance reports to increase value and usability. Assists in annual forecasting of web traffic, leads and sales. Develops approaches to analyze online customer behavior to include experience path, customer profiling, browsing behavior, customer segmentation; Analyze and report on measured results. Uses data and behavioral analysis to help improve existing web site usability and more effective UI development. Manages the web analytics system to ensure tracking, reporting and analytics are functioning optimally. Identify and troubleshoot data anomalies and irregularities as necessary. Provides guidance to stakeholders in the use of assigned web metrics applications including terminology standardization, training, user support, and the impact of user behavior on key conversion and revenue factors. Proposes expanded or improved uses of application capabilities. Prepares and presents value added analytics to department and/or senior management. Performs other job related functions as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field or any equivalent combination of relevant background and experience.EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5-7 years experience working in an e-commerce environment with 3 to 5 years preparing complex business analysis and reports; Online travel experience and expertise in Adobe Site catalyst preferred.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Must be detail oriented with impeccable organizational and follow up skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team environment and effectively interact and present information to senior management. Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be highly proficient with OLAP reporting tools such as WebTrends, Coremetrics, Omniture, Hitbox, Brio, COGNOS. Excellent understanding of search engine optimization strategies and processes, SQL, database query tools and basic design concepts. Must be able to take initiative and proactively analyze customer behavior by using available data to influence changes on the website.
