A. Maintain the website’s calendar and information, ensuring that dates and event details are accurate, up to date and compliant with college standards, policies and procedures.
B. Work with the Manager of Web Services to ensure that the Talent Network’s web identity is consistent with the institution.
C. Create engaging, accurate, and comprehensive website content to promote Talent Network news, events, and activities.
D. Convert Talent Network material to HTML format for the website.
E. Maintain necessary records and files.
F. Monitor website copyright and ADA compliance.
G. Monitor website placement on all major search engines and directories, adjusting HTML and web page content to ensure improvement of search engine placement.
H. Maintain appropriate competency in contemporary computer technology.
I. Develop and maintain the Talent Network’s presence with a focus on social networks, drafting posts and blog/video blog outreach.
J. Monitor the blogging community and online news to find relevant topics.
K. Focus on using social media to publish content, engage audience and encourage reader-generated news, photos, videos and overall interaction.
L. Increase profile on external social networks such as Digg, Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, YouTube and more; integrate reader-generated content into our primary site.
M. Perform other duties as assigned. (M.E.)

Salary Range:
$15.58 - $17/hr

Required Qualifications:
A. High School diploma or GED .
B. Two (2) years of professional web development and maintenance experience with a variety of web browsers on a Windows platform.
C. Proficient in Dreamweaver or similar software and experience with site management, page layout, and design skills.
D. Excellent proofreading skills.
E. Ability to edit photographs using Adobe Photoshop.
F. Ability to write HTML code.
G. Webmaster Certificate or completion of extensive web development courses.
H. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
I. Ability to work harmoniously with office and college staff.
J. Ability to write text for websites in a clear, organized and engaging manner.

Preferred Qualifications:
A. Knowledgeable of ADA compliance issues especially Section 508 Standards.
B. An understanding of search engine placement on all major search engines.
