K-C’s IT organization provides services to over 300 sites globally from the corporate datacenters located in Wisconsin. The mainframe environment consists of multiple IBM mainframes utilizing DB2 to provide a highly available platform for hosting K-C’s global SAP applications.
This position is responsible for overseeing and providing direction for the mainframe systems and includes the following:
•Design mainframe solutions that follow KC technology standards and meet the needs of the business.
•Performs industry research for mainframe technologies and related software, tools, standards and training.
•Implement, and integrate new hardware and software products into the existing mainframe infrastructure.
•Creates and implements mainframe administration procedures, standards, guidelines, tools, services and training.
•Assume ownership for problems and provide or direct resolution as appropriate; involve other teams as necessary to resolve problems.
•Plan and lead scheduled business continuity testing.
•Coach team members and K-C’s outsourced delivery partners
•A Bachelors degree along with 10 or more years relevant experience or more than 12 years of applied IT experience.
•z/OS System Programmer experience in a medium to large-scale Z/OS production environment.
•Expertise in the design, installation, support and availability of the z/OS operating system running on an IBM mainframe.
•Detailed knowledge of mainframe systems software (JES2, RACF etc.)
•Knowledge of z/OS as a DB2 database server for SAP applications.
•Experience supporting EMC and IBM enterprise storage subsystems
•System performance and tuning, including WLM.
•Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor other team members.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Professional presence and business diplomacy skills.
