Lead CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist

Who were looking for:

We are seeking candidates who have senior experience in programming and machining on CNC Lathes preferably with live tooling and Swiss Lathes. The ideal candidate would be passionate about their projects and highly motivated to learn.

What you’ll be doing:

• Programing multiple different geometrically complex parts at various CNC lathes including ones with live tooling.
• Leading junior machinists in overcoming challenges in the lathe department.
• Analyzing drawings and solid models to determine the type and sequence of machine operations.
• Determining proper tooling selection for each part considering speeds, feeds, machine limitations.
• Working closely with the quality lab while having a strong understanding of GD&T.
• Effectively communicating with various departments in the company daily.
• Using various inspection equipment to manually measure parts on and off a machining center.

Favorable if you have:

• Experience using Solidworks, and/or FeatureCAM.
• Experience setting up and programming live tooling lathes and swiss lathes.
• Experience with CMM inspection, layout inspection, optical comparator, and in-depth knowledge of metrology.
• Familiar with working in a low volume, high mix manufacturing facility.
