Five years ago, Holly made a courageous transition from nearly a decade in commercial property lending to a more fulfilling role at Indeed. Seeking an environment that aligned with her values and prioritized her growth, she was referred to the company by a mentor who recognized her potential. Holly’s passion for collaboration shines through as she empowers recruitment teams and drives client success. With a supportive team, generous benefits, and an inspiring manager, she feels grateful for her journey at Indeed, where she continues to thrive and find meaning in her work.

A New Beginning: Transitioning to Indeed

Holly's career transformation began in January 2019 when she made the bold decision to shift gears after nearly a decade in the finance industry doing commercial property lending. As much as Holly loved the numbers and data of finance, she craved a more fulfilling environment—one that aligned with her values and offered career progression. “I was very ready for a change that was more of a fit for me culturally, and a company that would invest in my success and progression. My mentor at the time “knew I would be a fit” at Indeed, referred me for the initial interview, and the rest is history!” shares Holly, Sydney, Australia-based, Senior National Account Manager.

Starting in the mid-market sector, Holly worked solely with recruitment companies across Australia. The initial months were challenging; “it was tough to start with, learning the Indeed product suite, but also learning the world of recruitment, but after six months I found my footing.”

From there her career quickly progressed —to a senior position, and then setting her sights on joining the National Account Manager (NAM) team. “I had realised my passion and natural working style was to work my largest accounts, as I enjoyed long term strategizing and helping clients set up for hiring success over twelve month periods as opposed to some of the faster paced transactions.”  In Oct 2021 Holly had success in a staffing role in National Accounts, and nine months ago became a Senior NAM.

The Heart of the Role: Making an Impact

What sets Holly apart is her deep-seated passion for collaboration and empowerment. While she thrives on engaging with GMs, CEOs, and Senior Strategists, she places immense value on working closely with recruitment teams within the organizations she manages. “They are the ones closest to our platform, using it daily,” Holly explains. “Investing in them and their understanding of Indeed - is what helps me, help people get jobs. When it “clicks” for them - I know I have done my job well.”

Finding Reward in Client Success

For Holly, one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is witnessing the transformation of large organizations into enthusiastic Indeed champions. She takes pride in guiding clients through the often-new concept of performance-based advertising. “When it clicks for clients and they start spreading the word to not only their teams but to industry counterparts - that for me is so satisfying!”

Additionally, I love that my role really allows me to partner with the businesses I work with, as a truly integrated part of the advertising strategy. I never ever feel like I am “selling.” I feel like I truly help companies make hires and hit their internal hiring goals every day.”

Why Indeed?

With a supportive team and an array of generous benefits, Holly has countless reasons to continue her journey at Indeed and further her career. “I have the most amazing boss in the world,” Holly shares. Her leader’s encouragement and motivation inspire Holly to excel, not just for herself but for the entire team. “My manager makes me want to stay and to succeed in my career. I also have an amazing team and am surrounded by people I call friends, not colleagues. We support each other work wise and personally.,” she adds, highlighting the supportive environment that Indeed fosters.

The benefits offered by Indeed—like health insurance, fertility support, and generous paid time off—further enhance her commitment. “Despite the ups and downs of the past few years with COVID, we are so immensely supported. I love our open PTO policy - I have just gotten back from 4 weeks in Europe! Doing lots of hiking and adventuring. Taking leave multiple times throughout the year isn’t possible for many people I know!”

A Grateful Heart

As Holly reflects on her five-year journey with Indeed, she expresses gratitude for her career path.

I feel very blessed to work for such a great company as Indeed! As I mentioned earlier I had a tumultuous time navigating the finance industry, it feels good to be into a role where I am consistently progressing but can also see myself here in years to come!
