What does a Driver do?

Drivers transport goods and items from one place to another. Usually, Drivers are called by the type of deliveries they do. Food Drivers deliver food to people's homes. Tractor-trailers drivers handle heavy goods like cars or other large amounts of cargo, and travel long distances to deliver them. Drivers are employees on the payroll of companies.

Drivers carry out lots of duties for companies that employ them. The following are some of the functions of Drivers:

  • Collecting goods or items and transporting them to their various destinations in good conditions
  • Making sure goods and items in their care get to the owners safely and on time
