How to become a Front Desk Agent

The minimum requirement to work as a front desk agent is a high school diploma or equivalent. Although not required, an associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration or a related field can enhance an applicant's resume. Industry-specific certifications offered by community colleges or hospitality organizations, are also available. One example is the Certified Front Desk Representative certificate from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
