A landscape laborer provides grounds keeping and maintenance for gardens, lawns and other landscapes to increase the visual or functional value of a certain property. They maintain all vegetation on the grounds, such as plants, trees, hedges and flowers.
A landscape laborer monitors the entire landscape or designated area of a property. Duties include planting, watering and all-around tending to any plants, shrubs or trees. It is their responsibility to keep the landscape thriving, healthy, and effectively designed.
While not all job opportunities may require experience, experience can include something as common as mowing lawns or something as complicated as maintaining fences. Experience in landscaping is as wide of an array as the tasks a landscape laborer performs.
Landscape laborers use a variety of tools to tend to the areas they are assigned to maintain. Tools may include shovels, handsaws and rakes. For more challenging tasks, landscape laborers may be tasked with using electric clippers or chainsaws.
