A teaching assistant works round the clock to ensure learners have a favorable learning environment. They provide a one on one session to individual students and small groups of learners. They are also responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of learners when outside the class. This involves handling conflicts, accidents that may happen while learners are playing and dealing with the emotions of every student. These responsibilities help the students gain learning skills, manage their learning program and become good time managers.
Teacher assistants may become a kindergarten and elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, high school teacher, or special education teacher upon obtaining additional education, training, and a license/certification.
