I attended the University over 25 years ago and know that changes have occurred. My experience was very positive. The school was not too big nor too small. I'm assuming it has positively progressed.

Pros

Good teachers, Positive environment, Hands-on training

Other comments

Good teachers and classes, wish they would focus more on web and app design. Has a large focus on traditional medium like painting and drawing. Good to learn but not always the focus for getting a graphic design career.

Good preparation for actual job. I felt both the classroom and clinical time was beneficial and teachers were well prepared. Would recommend this program for anyone wanting to go into nursing as an RN or as an advanced practice nurse.
4.0

Pros

Good teachers, Affordable, Positive environment, Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Cons

Working 2-3 jobs at a time to pay for my education.

Other comments

I had great instructors and horrible instructors, a few right out of Dickens, but in retrospect I did learn from all of them. From the horrible ones, perfection in tasks and from the good ones “focus on the patient and their family. To be a successful nurse you need to be competent in the task and compassionate with the patient and their families. Never lose sight the be admitted to critical care is probably the worst day of their life.
5.0

Pros

Good teachers, Affordable, Positive environment

Cons

Not enough time in real classrooms before graduating.

Other comments

The program was good. At that time, elementary education students were not given enough time observing or teaching in real classrooms. When the time came for student teaching, it has been very often different than what we had been taught to expect.
