Austin CDL Services Reviews

Reviews 1 to 6 of 6

Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Affordable, Helpful career services, Positive environment, Hands-on training

Other comments

They work with your schedule and you drive about 2hrs in a day. The rest of the time you have to review training videos, take training tests and study "the truck". The key element to passing your in-cab airbrake test and the pre-test portions of your CDL DOT exam. They were very supportive and helpful and rejoiced with me once I passed! I learned a great deal from these guys. And once I got my license they work to help me to find an employer and begin getting that experience so many desperately require before you can really work. These guys at Austin CDL Services worked to help me get started, grounded and moving forward with my career!

This is a great school to go to acquire hands-on training and with great trainers and classroom and computer environment. Very affordable compared to all the other truck driving schools out there.

Great professional place to learn. Lots of one on one a patient instructors. Work at your own pace, was able to make payments and also use trucks to practice and take test.

Cons

Outdated Materials. Shady Company. RIP off alert!!!

RIP OFF ALERT!!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SERVICE!!! This company will rip you off. I paid in full. Went in for 2 hours. The material they have is outdated. The trucks are hardly running. We had to switch trucks twice. The pre inspection test is a joke. The trainer kept telling me that he did not have time to update the info because he's to busy. The material is from 2014. I paid $1900 up front. When I asked for $1400 refund they refused, and were extremely rood. They hung up on me after they said I have solidified my position with them. I can not say enough bad things about this company. They won't pick up my phone calls. Voicemail is always full. I have never dealt with a company that wouldn't try and resolve an issue as important as this. I would not want to attend a school that has treated me this bad. Shady shady shady. They are attempting to keep $1900 of my hard earned money. I will be going to DPS next. I refuse to go to a school that is run this way. Wish I would've known. Their reviews in other places are horrible. They are not even recognized by the BBB. I do believe their DBA is expired. Might talk to Secretary of State too. Save a little extra and go to another school. Run for the hills.
