I thoroughly enjoyed the accelerated program of Esthiology at Aveda arts Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. I was able to get funding through student loans and grants which made it a no-brainer for me to go back to school and pursue an education and career that I’ve always been interested in. I especially enjoyed working in the spa for my education the last three months of my schooling.

I absolutely loved my fellow classmates and my educators, but the esthetic program is highly neglected, as well as the attention to people of colour with textured hair, hyperpigmentation issues, and the ways products should be applied differently to higher vs lower Fitzpatrick types. Though the brand does well with hair care, skin care is seemingly an afterthought.

Great school. But it’s very expensive. The products are great but I wish I had gone to a cheaper cosmetology school. The program was good, but the product line is different than most.

It was worth it. The school is expensive but they go into depth of everything. I loved all my educators and every one of my Clients were very understanding that I was a student

It was a good school and a good environment, but to better serve the students who are paying to go there, they should have more educators to help students in areas they need extra help in.

Daily: Classroom Studies, Testing and Hands On Experiences
Learned: The importance of helping the customer to feel relaxed, while receiving any Aesthetic Service
Trained: Classroom & Spa Setting with approximately 24 classmates
Most difficult part of Study: Going to School 10 hours per day, 4 days a week and working a part time job elsewhere. Studying and being prepared was difficult at times, but I enjoyed what I was learning. I appreciated every aspect of my studies. I loved learning how to help each customer feel relaxed and at ease, while being pampered during aesthetic skin care procedures. Waxing can cause anxiety at times for the customer, but we were taught professional treatment to help the customer feel at ease during what sometimes becomes a stressful procedure.

I loved everything about this school. I learned so much in such a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who is serious about the beauty industry

Good hands on learning, good understanding of Aveda and it’s company. Educators were very nice and helpful, but we lacked them more than what he had.

Absolutely worth every minute to graduate. They’re so hands on and engulf you into the industry. I find myself remembering so much I was taught and it shows within my services.
