The online portion was very easy and helped you identify potential scenarios with videos. It was very intuitive and the process was smooth. The in-person portion was a 2-day training course for 8 hours a day. I learned the various methods of saving swimmers from certain scenarios. A typical day of training included a warm-up a couple of new lessons on how to save someone lunch and then a review. On the very last day the students had to take a writing test to test their knowledge of Lifeguard protocols and a rescue test to apply the knowledge that was taught at the course. The hardest part was probably some of the saves that I was taught. The most enjoyable part was finally getting my certificate.
