Good for already established RN's with excellent work habits and independence. Best to do some sort of critical care for a year or two before starting. It will help with pharmacy and pathophysiology. Program is actually 2 1/2 years but the computer would only let me enter a whole number.

It was a really good program that taught me what I needed to know to be able to work well as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I did have to do some review courses to pass my certification test.

Good combination of online and clinical practicum. They have a very good online platform where the student can communicate with the professor and classmates, as well as access important course-related documents, syllabus, assignments, grades, calendar, transcripts, etc.

There was a detailed approach to evidence based practice and current use of technology in nursing practice. The teaching and training was tailored to enhance current nursing needs. I course of this training, I was able to learn how to research and report on outcomes even while performing my duties. The need for cultural competency was discussed in details during this program; especially while practicing in an environment like ours where we care for people from diverse cultures.

It was a tough program, but overall felt it well prepared me for boards and for clinicals at the end of the program. The preceptors had nothing but good things to say about Chamberlain students when compared to students from other universities.

Great teachers with great hands on training. Hard hours that don't allow you to study and work or have a family. If you read and study the books you will pass the class. You CAN NOT pass without reading the books.

I earned both my BSN and MSN at Chamberlain and would highly recommend this school to anyone. I was able to fit my classwork in while also working full-time. I did have to set up my own clinical experience but other than that, Chamberlain helped with everything.
