On a typical day in the colleges school kitchen we start off the day by reviewing safety regulations in the kitchen and also going over what precipices we will be making that day. Once we finish lecture in class off we go into the kitchen when as soon as we enter we wash our hands. Then we proceed to prepping our stations with the tools and food we need to start and finish our cooking process. Once we complete our assignments we prepare a plate for the chef as to demonstrate the plating and tasting of the food. Next we get grated on our work individually or as a group (depending if it's an individual assignment or group assignment). Lastly we get to enjoy the food we have prepared ourselves.

I am currently still in progress. I have a few years left before I can complete the program. My overall experience so far is very positive. Professors are fantastic and there are many valuable resources available to all students.

Good teachers, Positive environment, Hands-on training

Cons

Late classes with no bus schedule.

Great school to learn about any sort of medium. I personally loved using watercolors and acrylics. Many people enjoy finishing their majors prior to finishing their general education, making it comfortable for one to understand their own capabilities.

Cons

The classes were offered at a time that was inconvenient and I had to leave my job as a kindergarten teacher to take these classes which was a financial hardship and my kinder class also suffered academically.

Other comments

The instructors were some of the best in the field. They care about children and the policies and procedures that structure a quality preschool or daycare. They are mentors to many teachers and are positive role models.

This experience was a great hands on one. Everything we learned and discussed during class on AED and CPR we’re also showed to us. CPR is based off practice and remember specific an key steps to save a life. CPR applies to many different situations in which it would be needed, but just knowing it won’t help save a life. The things we learned before and after CPR are the most important things you should know during this process. Basic things like calling 9-1-1 before you do anything at all.
