Other comments

Starting out the first few weeks were mostly book work study such as math problems, measuring areas, volumes and dimensions.I learned about basic electrical wiring, plumbing, heating and cooling systems in a classroom setting along with hands on training. I also did trouble shooting and repairs on garbage disposers, heater furnaces, refrigerators, washer and dryers and other appliances. I also did drywall repairs, tile repairs, toilet installation, faucets. Sweating copper pipes. outlet and light switch replacements, GFCI installs. exhaust fan replacements. Door repairs including hinge and lock set replacement. The most challenging part for me was understanding pilot ignition systems on split HVAC furnace and dryers. I really enjoyed learning more about the electrical wiring than I had already had from Junior High classes. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and explained things logically that I could understand but could also be quite technical too.
