Pros

Good teachers, Affordable, Helpful career services, Positive environment, Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Cons

Using the baby mannequins is very tough

Other comments

Very eye opening to the do’s and don'ts of performing CPR with and without an AED. The videos shown were real life situations that showed how to handle seeing a victim unconscious as well as still breathing.

Pros

Flexible class hours, Good teachers, Helpful career services, Hands-on training

Cons

The fact that I was from out of state, so I had to find my own intern closer to where I lived.

On a typical day in the classroom was learning the basics of dentistry, charting, instruments and procedures. The second half was actually hands on with the equipment, how to pass instruments, take a full set of x-rays, bitewings and pa's. We started taking x-rays on a dummy and then we learned on our classmates. The hardest part of training was actually taking impressions on each other. The most enjoyable part was actually getting what we had learned correct.

Good program, I really did learn a lot. I had great instructors. I felt I was fully prepared when I left. Neither of my instructors are there now though so idk. I went in 201 bad debt though. Could have gotten the same education a lot cheaper. Find a cheaper school if you can.

Pros

Cons

One teacher was very disrespectful to her students and nothing was done about it for a while until her supervisor saw it first hand.

Concorde was a very helpful school when it came to learning the tasks associated with medical assisting, however when it came to external you were completely on your own if you didn’t live within a couple miles and had a very short time frame to obtain one until you would be dropped from the course. I had to attend both day and night classes due to a teacher that was very unprofessional. If one person made a mistake she would shut the entire class down and make it almost impossible to complete the number of injections and blood draws required to pass the course. However you had different teachers in each course so I don’t want to bash the school because of one teacher. Besides that wall I had to leap over, the rest of the staff were very delightful and very helpful.
