A typical day of training consisted of daily uniform and weapon inspections, scheduled subjects comprising a course of study in a classroom setting, and physical training. I learned what law enforcement requires of their officers, and what it takes to have a successful and safe career as a peace officer. The hardest part of the training was developing a mentality that I was nowhere near familiar with. But because of the training, my newly developed mentality has molded me into a well-rounded individual. The most enjoyable part of the training was learning how to be proficient with so many different tools (i.e. verbal, hands-on, education, and firearms).
