Pros

The worst job corps center ever.

Cons

The list is too long.

They are the worst. Disrespectful and rude staff. They do not care about you succeeding or about your future. Staff constantly put you down. They also play favorites. The staff treat the students like prisoners. Their staff will kick you out for no reason other than they don't like you.

During my training. I was giving both classroom and hand own training, We was giving the opportunity to practice some procedures on each other as well as the classroom model, We was given Clinical in the Hospital where we had the opportunity to work and learn the hospital setting.

A lot of hands of learning and book work. You have to keep you mind straight and stay calm, students will test you. Hands on work will take a toll on your body.

I learned that this can happen everyday so now I know I got this certification on a good cause. The hardest part of the training was doing this in front of everybody. The most enjoyable part of this training is that everybody had fun doing it but we knew what we were doing it for.

Pros

Good teachers, Affordable, Helpful career services, Positive environment, Good career preparation, Hands-on training

Other comments

You did book work for the first part of class time and hands on practice in the kitchen during the second part of class time. You learned the basics of food safety and preparation, as well as how to check proper temperatures. The environment was more like a family feel rather than your average classroom passing the test seem to be one of the hardest things about the class. The most enjoyable part of this class was being able to get in the kitchen and do some hands on learning
