A typical day of training would consist of following a current employee around and getting the rundown on what to do. Help take care of the residents and do some hands on little at a time when you’re ready and comfortable doing so. I learned so much on how to take care of people. I learned a lot about the human body. Have to take a pulse and blood pressure. The training culture was fun and relaxing. The hardest part of the training was definitely the demonstrations. It’s a little nerve racking. The most enjoyable part of the training is to be able to learn and do so much hands on.

Inconvenient class hours.

Other comments

There was a lot of hands-on learning involved in the course. The hardest part of training was being slower than the more experienced CMTs at the facility. I enjoy this job because it isn't as physically demanding as doing CNA work, but you still get a lot of patient interaction.
