It was a new and exciting experience and I am so happy that I was able to receive an associates degree. I went to Illinois Central College many years after I graduated from high school and was concerned that I would be the oldest student. To my surprise I wasn't the oldest student and that made me feel good.

The classes were 8 hours long. M-F. Rain, sleet, or snow. But for sure I would hands down said it was a really fun experience. I met some new friends and had a blast with the schooling. They try to keep it serious the first week then let it go so everyone lightens up a bit.

Great classroom learning skills and lots of projects to get you interacted to really know what you’re doing. Typical day you would go into the class and learn for about 6 hours and she would go over the roles of a CNA what to do and what not to do. She would also hand out group projects for us to create and put on a little show to let her know how well we are doing in the class to see if she needed to work on anything with us more if we did not understand. She would ask a lot of questions to make sure we understood and before the tests we would play a review game to see what we knew before the test.
